ACCR 2023: We are ready for the top contenders- Ghana Beach Volleyball coach
Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Beach Volleyball team, Eden Chapnuor, is confident that his team has the quality to compete with the top contenders at the 13th African Games.
Ghana is hosting the competition for the first time from March 8 to March 23.
The host nation secured a place in the quarterfinals with a 2-1 win in the best of three games series at Laboma Beach.
This win in the Round of 12 single-elimination game brings Ghana a step closer to winning a medal. Ghana Beach Volleyball player, Paul Akan, is also optimistic about their chances.
Following the win, Eden Chapnuor emphasized the quality of his team ahead of the draw, which could pair Ghana against some of the top contenders such as Morocco and South Africa.
“In a competition like this when it gets to the knockout stage, anybody is a potential winner. They are all strong, there are a lot of teams, South Africa is there, Morocco is still there but we too we’ve done our work we know we will match with them.”
“We will make it to the ultimate, that is the promise we want to make and we are fighting towards it,” said Paul Akan.
The Ghanaian team is determined to give their best and achieve a medal win at the competition.
