The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has cautioned the general public against patronizing textbooks that have been purported to have been approved by the NaCCA board for basic schools.

The NaCCA has maintained that it has not approved of any textbooks for the new curriculum.

In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah stressed that all publishers are to ensure that all their educational material are approved by the NaCCA board before selling them to schools.

He further said the approval process is still ongoing, in accordance with previous curriculum reforms.

He therefore wants publishers and writers to ensure their books are approved before they are sold to schools and the general public.
