Okyeame Kwame, Prince David Osei, others named members of NPP Manifesto Committee
Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame, actor Prince David Osei, and others have been appointed as members of the New Patriotic Party’s(NPP) Tourism, Culture And Creative Arts Manifesto Sub-Committee.
The NPP’s Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts Manifesto Sub-Committee is chaired by Juliet Asante, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Film Authority (NFA), and has, Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer, the Minister-designate for Tourism, Arts, and Culture as the main advisor.
Other members are former Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Catherine Abelema Afeku, Dr. Ama Boafo-Arthur, Prof. Issahatu Adam, and the founder of the Glitz Style Awards, Claudia Lumor.
Others are Nana Yaw Manteaw, Yaa Pokua Baiden, Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu (KOKA), Festus Frimpong Gyebi, Eric Owusu Akreso, Dr. Ackah Kwame Nyameke and Radia Adama Saani.
It is the vision of the NPP under the candidature of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to witness a positive dimension in the creative industry.
It will be recalled that Dr. Dawumia, the flagbearer for the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), speaking at his lecture dubbed ‘Ghana’s Next Chapter: Selfless Leadership and Bold Solutions for the Future’ at the University of Professional Studies in Accra on February 7, 2024, promised to create digital platforms for Ghanaian artistes if he becomes Ghana’s next president.
He justified that such platforms will boost tourism and the creative arts industry.
