CAF Champions League: Gabonese referee Tanguy Patrice Mebiame to officiate Medeama-Al Ahly showdown
Gabonese referee Tanguy Patrice Mebiame has been appointed to handle the CAF Champions League game between Medeama SC and Al Ahly of Egypt.
The 31-year-old will be assisted by Elvis Guy Noupue Nguegoue from Cameroon (Assistant I), Urbain Ondo Ndong from Gabon (Assistant II) and Cregue Fleury Moukagni from Gabon (Fourth Official).
Alhaji Babagana Kalli from Nigeria will work as Match Commissioner. Other officials include Shantali Shuaibu Aminu, Referee Assessor from Nigeria, Nasiru Sarkintudu Jibril, General Coordinator from Nigeria, Sannie Ibrahim Daara, Media Officer from Ghana and Queen Wutdeama Otarakpo, Security Officer from Nigeria.
The Yellow and Mauves will play host to the African giants at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi in the CAF Champions League.
The CAF Champions League was on a break due to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast but returns this weekend for the penultimate games at the group stage.
Medeama are bottom in Group D with 4 points and must play above themselves to progress to the next stage of the competition.
