Two additional suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the murder of Eric Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Cosy Hill Hotel (Jirapa Dubai) in Jirapa in the Upper West Region.
The deceased, Eric Johnson, was found on February 11, 2024, lying in a pool of blood in one of the rooms at the hotel.
This brings to seven, the number of persons arrested so far.
Among those apprehended earlier were Dookuuri Fausta, Braimah Kasim, Beyuo Felix, Michael Klugey, and Kumbata Kwaku.
Following the incident, the Inspector-General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare deployed a team of investigators and experts led by the Director-General/CID to work with the Upper West Regional Police Command to ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.
In a recent update from the Police Service, two additional suspects, Charles Tuoze and Favour Nuobe, both employees of the Cosy Hill Hotel, have been detained by the police.
They are currently assisting with investigations.
Earlier reports suggested that the deceased, Eric Johnson, was reportedly attacked by unknown assailants on Saturday night, February 10, resulting in his untimely death.
Johnson, an entrepreneur, recently undertook the construction of the safari resort in Jirapa.
He believed it was important to create employment opportunities for the youth and boost the area’s tourism sector to enhance the local economy.
