American rapper Rick Ross to collaborate with Stonebwoy on new project
Renowned American rapper Rick Ross has hinted at a maiden collaboration with Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy on an upcoming project.
According to Rick Ross, known in real life as William Leonard Roberts II, other African artistes to be added to the project are Nigerian musician Yemi Alade and Tanzanian star Diamond Platinumz.
“We want to do a project in Africa with African artiste and not just African artiste. We want to incorporate Stonebwoy, Yemi, Diamond Platinumz,” Rick Ross said.
Rick Ross further revealed that the upcoming project will have twelve African artistes on the album.

Rick Ross and Stonebwoy have been very good friends as the duo have a record of collaboration on music projects.
It will be recalled that in 2017, Rick Ross and Stonebwoy collaborated on ‘Sizzla’s Shoot Ya’ remix. In 2023, the American rapper publicly endorsed Stonebwoy’s 5th Dimension album which has given him much acclamation in the music industry.
Recently, renowned reggae artiste Hezron Clarke lauded Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall Stonebwoy, proclaiming him as the only Ghanaian act he is acquainted with, and boasting a popularity in Jamaica that surpasses all other artistes from Ghana.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, Hezron Clarke, currently in Ghana until January 2024, spotlighted Stonebwoy alongside other African music giants such as Davido and Burna Boy.
He emphasised, “I only know about Stonebwoy and some Afrobeats stars like Davido and Burna Boy. It’s only Stonebwoy I hear of in Jamaica; he’s very popular.”
Clarke, who expressed his admiration for Stonebwoy’s global appeal, revealed his intention to collaborate with Ghanaian musicians during his stay. “I’m supposed to collaborate with Wutah Afriyie and Ras Kuuku,” he announced, adding that he also plans to shoot a music video in Ghana.
