Ghanaian makes U-Turn in an attempt to break Guinness World Record
Patrick Amenuvor, a content creator and photographer who attempted to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) longest-standing marathon by an individual from January 14th to 21st, 2024, has decided to cancel his attempt.
In a statement, Patrick claimed he had broken some rules which might sabotage his efforts to break the record.
“Due to my integrity and desire to win by fair play, I wish to inform all of my intention to stop my OFFICIAL STAND-A-THON attempt due to some rules I’ve broken which might sabotage my efforts to break the record”.
“At this point, I deem it fit to get back with my team to review our attempt so far and make sure to avoid any errors that may hinder my future attempt,” excerpts of the statement released on January 14th noted.
He expressed gratitude to all his fans for their unwavering support since the beginning of his journey.
He added that a new date for his next attempt will be communicated on all his social media pages since his STAND-A-THON is a dream that he is not sleeping on.
