Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Atiwa East, Abena Osei-Asare, sailed through the NPP vetting process ahead of the 2024 parliamentary primaries without a glitch, scoring high marks on the day.

The MP has achieved distinction on many scales of assessment, and the latest verdict of the vetting committee adds to her outstanding credentials, combining deputy ministerial duties and attending to the needs of Atiwa East constituents.

Unsurprisingly, the vetting committee endorsed her candidature for another term on Friday, January 5, 2024.

She also picked Number 1 on the ballot sheet after a random pick by candidates vying for the Atiwa East seat.

Ms Osei-Asare led the pack for The Top 10 Most Vocal Female MPs In 2019 and has spearheaded several developmental and social interventions in her constituency.

She expresses excitement after the vetting and confidence in winning the seat again.

“I had the honour of being vetted by our esteemed party for the Atiwa East parliamentary primaries. Flanked by my ever-supportive husband, Kwaku and the insightful Finance Minister, the Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta, it was a day filled with hope and determination.

“I am happy to announce that following a thorough vetting process and subsequent balloting, I have secured the top spot – No. 1 on the ballot!

“This represents a testament to our collective aspiration for growth and prosperity in Atiwa East. I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone, especially the teeming polling station executives who also surprised me with their open support. Your unwavering support and belief in our shared vision empower me to strive for excellence and integrity in serving our constituency.

“I look forward to your massive support on the January 27 2024”.
