31st night prophecies: The good, the bad and the ugly

In Ghana, it has been customary for pastors and prophets nationwide to deliver a barrage of prophecies during the 31st December watch night ceremonies.

It was no different on December 31, 2023.

The Founder and Head Pastor of Overcomers Breed International, Rev Isaac Ofori, prophesied that the December 7, 2024, general elections will be a one-touch victory for the eventual winner.

He prophesied that a run-off would be harmful to the country.

“In Ghana’s election, the person to lead the party to victory is not at post. A one-time victory for the party ordained to win would serve the country well. A run-off in the elections would stir bad things,” he prophesied at Sunday’s 31st watch night service.

He also stated: “Scientists would try to find cures for many diseases they cannot tell the origin. Both truth and falsehoods kept as secrets would be published about pastors and churches in 2024.”

He was not the only one to take that path.

Leader and Founder of the Alive Chapel International, Elisha Salifu Amoako, prophesying on the 31st night service, stated that 2024 would be a prosperous year for Ghanaians, but Ghanaians must work for it.

“Though God has promised us prosperity, we have to work towards it….. The citizens must learn how to work hard,” he said.

He also said Ghanaians must pray for their leaders due to pending deaths.

“We need to pray for our leaders because I saw four people departing from this earth. They are very, very powerful people. But God doesn’t want me to mention names. We need to pray and stop these occurrences,” he added.

Similarly, Prophet Amoako further indicated that Ghanaians must pray for certain men of God.

“Also, we need to pray for four men of God. I will call them myself, and I will give them directions and tell them what the Lord is saying, but I don’t want to mention their names on social media; it will bring a lot of confusion. This year, the enemy will attack men of God, and if we are not careful, we will lose them,” he said.

The man of God also stated that there will be confusion during the 2024 general elections.

“The third is that the Lord showed me a big confusion through election day. I see a lot of people running, fighting and trying to kill themselves. So, we need to pray for the 2024 elections because what the Lord is showing me is going to be serious. It will be a year of confusion in our political realm,” he added.

Contrary to Rev Ofori’s prophecy, Prophet Amoako said there would be a run-off in the polls.

“When I looked at the realms as the Lord showed me, there was no winner between the NDC and the NPP, so they had to do a run-off,” he explained.

He also stated that concerning the 2024 elections, there would be an attack on the Electoral Commission (EC) and a court case.

“There was a court case also coming in, and there is a lot of misunderstanding concerning the election, to the extent that people are attacking the EC, and it was very, very severe,” he added.

Prophet Amoako further admonished Christians to intercede ahead of the 2024 elections.

Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, Founder and Leader of the Perez Chapel International, delivered some good news and prophesied that the country’s economic difficulties would be resolved this year.

The Archbishop said the turnaround would, however, not be the doing of political parties but by the “great power” of God.

Addressing congregants at the Church’s 31st ‘Night of Prophecy and Power’ in Accra, Archbishop Agyinasare encouraged Christians to brace up for a better year.

“This country is going through difficulties, but there are difficulties that will be resolved in 2024, not because of political parties, but because God has decided that it is His year of great power,” he said.
