One person has been confirmed dead after being crushed by a fuel tanker at Kaasi in the Asokwa municipality.
The sad incident occurred on Friday, December 1, 2023.
According to reports, the 54,000-litre diesel tanker was on its way to offload the fuel at the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) when it somersaulted and landed on a pickup heading towards Ahinsan.
Although they arrived on time, personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service could do little to save the driver of the pickup, who died on the spot.
The body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue.
