A gang of armed robbers on Tuesday evening (November 7, 2023) attacked the Gaso Filling Station in Adankrono, near Kade, in the Eastern Region.
The robbers, who were four in number arrived at the station around 6:30 pm and unleashed a hail of gunshots, injuring a bystander.
They managed to escape with an undisclosed sum of money and a mobile phone that belonged to one of the station attendants.
The situation escalated to the point where a vehicle parked at the station displayed visible pellet holes due to the hail of gunshots unleashed by the robbers.
Unfortunately, the suspects had already fled into the forest by the time the police arrived.
The incident is the latest in a series of armed robberies targeting filling stations in the Eastern Region, with no arrests made in previous incidents.
Meanwhile, investigations are currently underway to apprehend the suspects.
