Morocco Unveils Six New Ambassadors
Morocco’s King has appointed six new ambassadors. The envoys are going to the United Arab Emirates, France, the United States, China, Egypt, and Jordan. Commissioning the new appointees, King Mohammed VI described them as a quality diplomatic movement, given that the six countries were strategic for the Kingdom.
He noted that they represented multidimensional partnerships, the importance of the Moroccan Sahara Question as well and diplomatic coordination on regional issues.
Relations with these countries, three of which are permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (United States, France, and China), have always been driven and monitored closely by His Majesty the King.
The appointment of the ambassadors, five of whom are officials of the Foreign Ministry, underlines the Royal confidence in the professionalism and competence of Moroccan diplomatic executives. The sixth ambassador, Ms Samira Sitail, is the first female ambassador to be appointed to Paris since independence.
Ms Sitail, with extensive national and international media experience, has very good knowledge of the French political and media landscape. In addition to a great mastery of the political field and the main economic and social issues of the Kingdom. She participated in several missions and actions of the Kingdom abroad.
Here are the names of the other envoys. Mr. Ahmed Tazi, United Arab Emirates, Mr. Fouad Akhrif, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mohammed Ait Ouali, Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Abdelkadir El Ansari, Peoples Republic of China, and Mr. Youssef Amrani, United States of America.
