Ghanaian Actor, Joseph Nana Osei Kofi, popularly known as ‘Wayoosi’, has recounted how his fast lifestyle almost cost him his life.

According to the diminutive actor, he led an unhealthy lifestyle prior to being diagnosed with a  Kidney disease.

The unhealthy lifestyles, he said include not eating well, not exercising and taking in excessive alcohol.

In an interview monitored by The Ghana Report, Wayoosi said, he used to take in three bottles of Guinness every morning before starting the day’s work.

“ On a normal day, I take three bottles of Guinness in the morning and that is after I have taken in some ‘spirits’. After, I could go a whole day without taking water or eating and even when I remember to eat, I only eat a lot of meat then go straight to bed without waiting for it to digest. I can say I led a very unhealthy lifestyle; I was always on the go not paying attention to my health,” he said.

Wayoosi was diagnosed with a Kidney disease few years ago and was required to undergo Kidney transplant.

Recounting how he survived, the actor said, he woke up from a ‘coma’ in the hospital to see former Hiplife artiste now turned Pastor, Lord Kenya praying for him

“The first day, I was booked for dialysis the lights went off, so I was kept on medication, only for the doctors to tell me one day that I no longer needed the dialysis or the transplant, my kidneys were back to performing normal. I no longer drink alcohol or eat meat, I’m now into fish and vegetables,” he said.
