Power outages to hit Sogakope, Akatsi and surrounding areas

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a temporary disruption in power supply to some communities in the Volta Region.

A statement from ECG explained that the water resulting from the Akosombo Dam spillage had inundated the Sogakope Bulk Supply Point.

In the interest of safety, the supply point has been temporarily shut down, leading to an unintended impact on the electricity supply to various areas.
