After Hamas bombardments On Israel

Israeli Defense Forces In A Battle Of Their Lives

Having been taken unawares by Hamas in the overnight pounding of Israeli cities of Tel Aviv, Beersheba, and Ashkelon from the Gaza strip, the State of Israel has activated its war machine for the dual purpose of repulsing and overcoming the aggressor.

Nearly 48 hours of Hamas airstrikes as part of wider incursions caused collateral damage in Israel. Reports say, more than 700 people on the Israeli side were killed in the Hamas attacks.  260 died at a musical festival.

Hamas is said to have ”fooled” Israel by conducting preparations for the latest phase of the war offline. Israel is yet to speak to this.

The unilateral start to the current fighting between the old Middle East foes has turned into a crossfire. This is how it is:  Hamas has launched more rockets toward Israeli territory, and Israeli Defence Forces have targeted Lebanon, as commanders ordered a massive pushback including a complete siege on Gaza.

Israel indicates that armed suspects crossed borders from Lebanon thus the country must be at the receiving end of its onslaught.

The Ghana Report Monitoring New Developments on this case from Western-inclined media sources gleans a grim situation on the ground with reporters using tragic-laden phrases as ”people gunned down,” ”utter brutality,” ”horrific testimony,” and ”deep scar on everyone”, apparently about Hamas’ approach to this showdown.

In a nutshell, it is Israel at full-scale war with Hamas after unprecedented attacks. Hamas which drew first blood has taken important hostages.

Morocco has called for an emergency Arab League meeting among Foreign Ministers in Cairo, Egypt on how best to bring a ceasefire to the military confrontations in the Middle East.
