”We have over 92 percent of the album”: Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman On Limited Voter Registration Exercise
Chairman Wontumi has expressed appreciation for the work of the Electoral Commission during the limited voters registration exercise which ended on October 2, 2023.
Chairman Wontumi at a press conference in Kumasi on October 4 commended the EC, Civil Society Organizations and the general public for a peaceful process across the nation.
“We should therefore commend the Electoral Commission, the good people of Ghana, the CSOs, and the other stakeholders for conducting themselves properly”.
Highlighting the number of members who registered during the exercise, Chairman Wontumi said, “We of the NPP went into the registration exercise with a superior strategy, and it worked to our expectations. Indeed, winning an election isn’t about noise-making and violence, but your ability to ensure that your people register in their numbers”.
“That is exactly what we did. As we speak, we have over 92% of the album being NPP. Some may ask, how did it happen? We achieved it by assigning targets to the various constituencies and officers, and ensuring that they were indeed committed to the agenda”, he added.
