Disregard Fake Herald Report On Alleged Kidnapping—National Security
The Ministry of National Security has dismissed fake reports published by The Herald Newspaper on Monday, November 25, concerning an alleged kidnapping in Accra.
In an article filled with speculation, sensationalism, and disinformation, the newspaper linked national security operatives and entrepreneur Ms. Rashida Saani to the alleged abduction of Ms. Sylvia Baah, the Airport Services Manager of Emirates at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
Without evidence, the Herald blamed the astute businesswoman, Rashida Saani and the security chiefs for Sylvia Baah’s predicament, even though she mysteriously reappeared in front of her home within 24hours by herself and reunited with her family by the police.
In a statement on Monday, November 25, the Ministry of National Security stated emphatically that none of its officers “or operatives from the National Signals Bureau was involved in the alleged abduction of Ms. Sylvia Baah,” as falsely published by The Herald Newspaper.
While the ministry has assured of a full probe, the motive for the publication of untruths against the reputable businesswoman remains questionable.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Security has entreated the public to disregard The Herald Newspaper publication and treat it with contempt.
