Alan Goes Independent, Targets Disgruntled Npp Businessmen
Information from multiple sources close to the former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, indicates that he is to announce his intention to go independent and contest the 2024 elections.
Prior to announcing his independent bid, Alan Kyerematen will tender his resignation to the New Patriotic Party in the morning and later engage the press on his decision to contest 2024 as an independent candidate.
“That is the decision by his kitchen cabinet. It would only take a miracle for Chief Alan not to go independent” one of the sources told ABC NEWS.
The hitherto presidential aspirant who withdrew from the November 4 elections emphasized in his withdrawal note to the general public, that he would announce his role in the 2024 general elections.
Mr. Kyerematen, a few days ago, issued a notification of holding a presser on Monday, September 25, which, from all indications, is to announce his intention to go independent.
It could be recalled that, Alan, after his poor showing in the 26th August super delegates elections, placed a distant third, a position that shocked many political analysts.
He, consequently, announced his withdrawal from the race citing reasons many have said could not have accounted for his poor performance in the race.
According to ABCNews’ sources which are close to the beleaguered former presidential hopeful, Alan Kyerematen has firmed up his decision to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential elections tomorrow afternoon.
