The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah and the District Chief Executive(DCE), Kwasi Bonzo, were engaged in a near brawl over a road under construction in the area.
A video of the incident that has gone viral shows the two men engaged in a heated exchange in the middle of the said road.
Without the presence of the onlookers, the altercation would have resulted in a fistfight.
According to eyewitnesses, the MP had assigned some individuals to patch potholes on the road.
However, the DCE came to stop them because he claimed the road had been given on contract and work was ongoing.
“Don’t you know the road is under contract? Don’t you know it is under contract? It is cheap politics,” the DCE said angrily in the video.
“Don’t start; if this road is under contract, is it motorable? Buy fuel for the contractor to fix the road. You are here, and I came from Accra to fix the road, and you have a problem,” the MP, who is also the Deputy Minority Leader, is heard saying.
