Cheese Salad A La Suisse
INGREDIENTS
Three-quarters pound Emmenthaler or Swiss cheese, cut into half-inch cubes.
1 medium onion, chopped.
1 tablespoon grated horseradish.
1 tablespoon white vinegar.
2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
2 tablespoons prepared mustard.
2 tablespoon mayonnaise.
Salt, and pepper to taste.
Lettuce leaves.
GARNISHES
Tomato slices.
Gherkin slices.
Combine the cheese and onion in a bowl. Mix together the horseradish, vinegar, oil, mustard, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Combine with the cheese mixture. Serve on lettuce leaves garnished with the tomato and gherkin slices.
