Join Bawumia’s Team To ‘Break The 8’ – Sammi Awuku Urges Alan’s Camp
Former National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku, has urged Alan Kyerematen’s campaign team members to rally behind Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to ‘break the eight’.
His appeal comes after the NPP presidential hopeful, Alan Kyerematen, withdrew from the upcoming primaries scheduled for November 4, citing intimidation and assault on his polling agent.
A statement from Mr Awuku stressed the need for unity to achieve the agenda of the NPP to stay in power.
He urged party members to avoid divisive behaviour and negative remarks that could exacerbate existing internal tensions.
Mr Awuku emphasized that the present moment is not one for discord but rather a time to reach out to all members and work collectively towards achieving victory in the 2024 general elections.
Acknowledging the diverse support base within the NPP, Mr Awuku called on supporters of all candidates, including those who did not make it to the top 5, to unite for a common cause.
He reiterated Dr Bawumia’s call for a harmonious approach, highlighting the necessity of avoiding internal conflicts and focusing on the overarching goal of securing victory for the NPP.
“To all the supporters of the candidates who couldn’t make it to the top 5 and supporters of aspirants who made it to the top 5, please let’s come together. Let’s solve our problems together and once again position the NPP as the party of choice ahead of the 2024 General Elections to deliver economic prosperity for our nation, Ghana,” Awuku urged.
