2023 GFA Awards: Saaka Dauda, Martin Karikari in contention for DOL Best Player award

The nominees for various categories in the Division One League have been unveiled in anticipation of the inaugural GFA Awards ceremony.

This prestigious event is scheduled to take place at the UPSA auditorium in Accra on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Among the categories, the nominees for Goalkeeper of the Season, Discovery of the Season, Coach of the Season, and Best Player of the Season have all been officially announced.

The awards ceremony promises to be an exciting celebration of the outstanding talent and achievements within the Division One League.

Saaka Dauda of Bofoakwa Tano, Skyy FC’s Baba Hamadu Musa, Martin Karikari of Asekem [now Hearts of Oak], Vision FC’s Asamoah Boateng, and Dickson Sakabutu of Heart of Lions are the players in contention for the Best Player of the Season award.

Heart of Lions head coach FATAWU SALIFU, Johnson Smith who led Nations FC to Premier League qualification, Bofoakwa Tano coach FUSEINI ABUBAKAR, and MENSAH LOGOSU of Eleven Wonders [who has now vacated his position] are in the running for Coach of the Season award.
