Hundreds of residents in Takoradi have embarked on a demonstration Wednesday, to demand the resignation of the head of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service.

According to some residents who spoke to JoyNews, the calls follow what they claim is the shambolic manner Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah handled investigations involving four missing girls in the Western Region capital, Takoradi, who are now declared dead.

The girls; Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 18, Ruth Love Quayson 18, and Ruth Abeka were victims of a kidnapping and murdering syndicate in the Takoradi area, the acting Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh stated at a recent news conference.
