2023 AFCON qualifiers: Central African Republic commences preparations for Ghana clash
The national team of the Central African Republic is determined to see off Ghana to secure qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The final round of games in the qualifiers for the next AFCON tournament is scheduled to be played in September.
In Group E of the qualifiers, Ghana is top of the standings with 9 points followed by Angola in second and with 8 points.
The Central African Republic comes in at third while Madagascar with two points sits at the bottom of the table.
Ahead of the final round of games, Ghana, Angola, and the Central African Republic all have a chance to qualify for the 2023 AFCON.
All eyes are now on the big game between Ghana and the Central African Republic.
To ensure victory over the Black Stars, the head coach of the Central African Republic, Raoul Savoy has assembled 18 players to begin preparations. ‘
All players are selected from the local league of the country and will be training for the next few weeks before the gaffer invites some foreign-based players to augment the squad.
The game between Ghana and the Central African Republic is scheduled to be played on September 7.
The game will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
