GCB Bank ATM’s Unable To Dispense

Salaried workers trooped to GCB Bank, mostly to ATM machines to cash money in the morning of July 28, 2023, but were disappointed. Feedback on the attempts to take money out of ATMs read withdrawals but the machines failed to issue any cash.

Stranded customers of the bank then moved to other branches but the story was no different. Where the ATM machines were dispensed, those whose previous attempts failed elsewhere, again drew a blank. Enquires showed there were deductions made on their balance despite the fact that they did not receive any money.

Many customers could be seen talking about how the glitch had affected their daily routines. It is not clear whether the issues with some of the bank’s branches were localized or could be the basis for generalization as a nationwide problem.
