Most of the netizens have suggested that the minister should be investigated and called to address the public about the source of the money which she is claiming to be stolen by the house helps.
Below are some of the comments on Twitter
So she had 1 million dollars and a whole lot of money stashed in her wardrobe that if the househelp wasn’t caught red handed she wouldn’t have known she had been stealing for 1 year

They are part of the the reason the CEDI keeps depreciating. Hoarding millions of dollars in your rooms through corupt & dubius means? Only God can tell the number of dollars her corrupt counterparts are keeping for themselves in their various houses. Shameless woman!💔

It’s only in Ghana that only two thieves will face charges while the owner herself who is the bigger thief will be pressing. How do you have 1 million dollars and 300,000 euros at home? Thieves paraded as politicians and ministers !!!

It means they have far more money so the “little” does not easily get noticed if stolen

No house help will steal $1 M and still be in Ghana. Moreover they can aid in the operation. People saying what was the money doing in her house. The money is hers.🤝😂

How do they even get this sort of amount? Our politicians are too corrupt, that’s why I’m not voting anymore until I find someone with policies that will make the government accountable to us the citizens by showing us how much our politicians earn and from where too.

Another netizen Krugger_Eriksen, said “Ghana paaa this country is a joke oo. The accused are facing charges but the minister hasn’t been invited for questioning as to the source of those huge sums in her home. A minister can have all these monies in her home and the authorities aren’t alarmed??? How???”
@AyenyAngulo also added “Do you have a Financial Intelligence Authority or Anti Money-laundering Bureau in Ghana? We shall talk about the accused thieves later; suffice it to say, God answers prayers 🙏🏼 in different ways.
@SIKAOFFICIAL1”.
Aside from the two house helps, three persons have also been charged in connection with the case of the theft.
Benjamin, 29, a plumber, has been accused of dishonestly receiving GH¢180,000, while Kweku Botwe, 65, a trader, faces charges for dishonestly receiving GH¢50,000.
Additionally, Malik Dauda, 23, who is unemployed, is alleged to have dishonestly received GH¢1 million.
The accused allegedly used the stolen funds to finance various properties and purchases, including renting a three-bedroom apartment and a store in Tamale, buying vehicles, and funding other personal expenses.
The court has adjourned the case to Wednesday, August 2, 2023, while investigations continue.
