Ghana FA has been transparent since I assumed office – Kurt Okraku
The Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku has sung himself praises for being transparent in his dealings as the leader of the FA.
The statement was made during the GFA 29th Ordinary Congress on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Sciences and Technology (KNUST).
Okraku assumed office as the President of the football association back in 2019 after beating off competition from Nana Yaw Amponsah and George Afriyie.
According to him, the domestic football governing body (GFA) has been transparent ever since his administration took over affairs in 2019.
“From 2019 up to date, I could stand before congress and speak confidently that because of our transparency, good corporate governance, principles and practices that we have used overtime, through the hard work of the fully functional marketing department of the FA, inflows into your FA has improved”
“AndI am very proud to stand before congress for the first time to tell all of you that our inflows have improved. All the support that we have offered individual clubs and member of the organization has come from money” he said.
The Congress, held at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), provided a platform for discussions on key topics, including upcoming elections and proposals for increased nomination fees.
