The vetting committee of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cleared all presidential aspirants for the special Electoral College election.
The cleared candidates include Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Kwadwo Poku, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Dr. Owusu Akoto Afriyie, Joe Ghartey and Francis Addai-Nimoh.
A press statement released by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, confirmed the committee’s decision and outlined the next steps in the electoral process.
The National Council of the party has scheduled July 20, 2023, to deliberate on the vetting committee’s recommendation.
