‘I am who I am because of you’ – VEEP celebrates mother on 80th birthday
Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is celebrating his mother Hajia Mariama Bawumia on the occasion of her 80th birthday indicating that he is who he is today because of her.
The Vice-President expressed much love and affection for his mother, describing her as caring and supportive.
In a Facebook post, he wrote, “I am who I am today because of the foundation she and my late father[ Mumuni Bawumia] laid for me.”
Hajia Mariama Bawumia is a native of Kpasenkpe in the West Mamprusi District of the North East Region and was one of the first northern female students to have gained admission to the prestigious Wesley Girls High School in Cape Coast in the Central Region.
