Hearts went all the way to the finals of the competition before losing to Union Douala of Cameroun on penalties after an aggregate tie of 1-1.
The late Anas Seidu was a member of the Black Stars between 1976 and 1982. He was nicknamed “Thunder” because his powerful shots at goal had the ambiance of a thunderbolt.
Recently, just two months before his passing, Anas had voiced out his frustrations about unmet promises made to the 1978 continentally triumphant Black Stars squad. Among the items he mentioned were houses for the victorious team.
