Springboard Roadshow Foundation with support from MasterCard Foundation and Lyme House Production have designed the Ghana Grows Programme to improve employment amongst the youth and offer mentorship for budding entrepreneurs.

The move is expected to assist over a million Ghanaian youth, between the ages of 15 and 35, to gain access to dignified and fulfilling work, especially in the agribusiness sector.

The programme themed ‘Making a Difference and Exploring Untapped Job Opportunities’ is to be held in three editions.

The first edition hosted Constance Swaniker, Founder of the Design and Technology Institute and Isaac Newman Arthur, a Medical Doctor and Life Coach.

Ms. Swaniker elaborated on the opportunities available in the technical and vocational sector, while Mr Arthur spoke on leveraging talents to develop streams of income.

For the second edition, renowned Ghanaian leadership coach and Senior Fellow at Manchester University, Professor Pikay Richardson explained the need to adopt a continuous learning attitude in order to stay relevant.

“The way the world is going, if you are going to stay relevant and earn a good living, learning should be part of your cake”.

The second guest speaker for the second edition, Rossie Ebe-Arthur, a Human Resource Consultant admonished students to develop skills which will meet the requirements of the dynamic work landscape.

“We are in a borderless world, people are taking your jobs because you are not reskilling. The Indians and Chinese are taking your jobs because they have the needed skills”.

“What have you got to offer“, she quizzed.

The last edition of the Ghana Grows Programme, which comes off on June 21, 2023, will host Catherine Krobo-Edusei, the Chief Executive Officer of Eden Tree who will discuss jobs and opportunities in the agribusiness value chain.

Also, Digital Media Expert, Maximus Ametorgoh will speak on prospects the digital space offers.

The programme is powered by the Springboard Roadshow Foundation and is held during the Practical Christianity Hangout at the ICGC New Wine Temple at East Legon, with tailored sessions for persons with disability and special needs.
