Appietus eyes Guinness World Record for music producer with most number of hits

Ghanaian sound engineer, Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, is optimistic of snatching the Guinness World Record for the music producer with the most number of hits.

The record is currently being held by the late kingpin of Japan’s entertainment industry, Johnny Kitagawa.

Appietus currently has 231 hit songs to his credit as compared to the late Kitagawa’s 232.

Sharing the news on Facebook on Wednesday (14 June), Appietus said: “I am still updating my list so Ghana get ready.”

“This is an updated list of some of the artists and ‘231’ hit songs I’ve produced in my career, We are about to break the Guinness World Record for the music producer with the most number of Hits !!!!!.”

“The current world record holder (Johnny Kitagawa) has ‘232’ hit songs. Meaning he only beats me with just 1 song. [I] am still updating my list so Ghana get ready,” Appietus wrote.
