The management of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) has dismissed reports suggesting it has sanctioned or approved the termination of contracts of a number of caterers for the 2019/2020 academic year.

The comment is in response to reports that Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDA) across  the country have unilaterally terminated the contracts of some caterers and in some cases, reallocated beneficiary schools to new caterers in their respective assemblies.

In a statement signed by Management  of the Ghana School Feeding Programme, the secretariat asked the public to disregard the reports.

“We have not engaged in any arrangement with any assembly to change schools for our caterers for the 2019/2020 academic year,” extracts of the statement available to The Ghana Report reads.

It added “All GSFP caterers must continue to cook for the school originally allocated to them. “

Management of GSFP urged MMDA’s to adhere to this directive.
