NDC-China congratulates party for successful primaries
The China chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated the party following a successful presidential and parliamentary primary.
A statement by the group signed by its chapter secretary, Dr Richmond Afotey Nii Okle, praised the delegates, the Council of Elders, FEC and NEC for what they described as a fair and peaceful election and an avenue to amend internal issues.
“It is refreshing to realize that in the face of difficulties, ones that our enemies thought would divide us, the proverbial ‘Nyansafuos’ of the party navigated us to safety.
“You did a job like no other, and congratulations are the least we can offer,’ the group said.
The group congratulated its elected flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama, his competitors, Dr Kwabena Duffour and Mr Kojo Bonsu, and the elected parliamentary candidates.
The group entreated all members to work hard to wrest power from the ruling NPP in 2024.
They also called on all members of the umbrella party to their unflinching support for the party’s welfare.

The NDC China chapter will like to congratulate all the members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), particularly the delegates, for staying true to the core values of the party.
We will also like to congratulate the Council of Elders, FEC and NEC for staying resolute in the face of challenges. It is refreshing to realize that in the face of difficulties, ones that our enemies thought would divide us, the proverbial “Nyansafuos” of the party navigated us to safety. You did a job like no other and congratulations are the least we can offer.
NDC-China will further congratulate the President Ghanaians want, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, JDM, for a resounding victory in the elections of 13th May 2023. To us, there was no qualms about the victory but the magnitude of it affirms that the NDC has only one person who can lead Ghana to revive its lost fortunes.
The victory of JDM is meaningless had it not been for the efforts of Dr. Kwabena Duffour and Mr. Kojo Bonsu and in that vein we congratulate these two patriots of our party. In as much as the results did not go their way, we appreciate their roles in deepening democracy within our party and in Ghana as a whole. We are proud of them and more proud that they belong to the NDC and we hope they will continue to lead the way in our great party. Our comrades heading into battle for parliament, congratulations for securing your tickets.
The victory is sweet, the party is loud but whiles this may seem a win, this is only a rehearsal. We, NDC-China, will like, as part of our congratulations, to remind you to reach out to all in your constituencies, bring them under the Akatamanso because, pushing this particular version of the elephant to the bush will require more hands than ever before. To those who contested the various sits and could not secure their slots, we congratulate you. NDC-China salutes you for your love for peace and the display that NDC is the ultimate winner.
We, by this message is assuring of all her commitment to helping the NDC form the next government, come January 1st, 2025. The NDC cannot sit and watch Ghanaians suffer, we cannot remain in opposition whiles we watch our country being saddled with debt and its various exchanges, we cannot remain inactive whiles our babies have four eyes and one leg, we refuse to remain calm while vaccines become an issue and those being paid to work are busy securing their future. We cannot!
