Legendary Ghanaian gospel artist Obaapa Christy has released a new song titled ‘Let It Go’.
Prior to the official release, the song had taken social media by storm when a teaser slipped out.
Obaapa Christy is well-known to be using the Twi dialect in her songs but with the newly released ‘Let It Go’, she ranted the lyrics in English.
“Let it go even if it’s not easy on your side. Even if you feel like giving up…just let it go” are some lyrics in the song that encourage listeners never to dwell on things that hold them back but must let it go and move on.
Obaapa Christy has been in the music industry for over two decades.
She has composed songs like ‘Ma Enye Yie’, ‘Wobefiri Wamanee Mu’, ‘Wagye Me’, ‘Hyebre Sesafo’, ‘Aseda Nwom’, ‘W’ asue Me’, ‘Menso Mene Hwan’, and ‘Aseda’.
