American actor Danny Glover has touched down in Ghana as part of the Year of Return.
His visit to the motherland comes just some few days after popular American comedian Steve Harvey also paid a visit to Ghana.
Danny Glover arrived in Ghana as a part of a delegation of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) for ‘Jamestown to Jamestown’.
‘Jamestown to Jamestown’ is part of activities to organized to mark the Year of Return. This year marks exactly 400 years since the first black slaves landed in Jamestown Virginia in the US.
NAACP leaders, activists, and entertainers will travel from Jamestown, Virginia, to Jamestown, Accra to commemorate the Year of Return.
The team is expected to spend 10 days in Ghana and they will enjoy rich cultural, spiritual and cathartic experiences.
The “Year of Return, Ghana 2019” is a major landmark marketing campaign targeting the African – American and Diaspora Market to mark 400 years of the first enslaved African arriving in Jamestown Virginia.
