Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom is reassuring employees of his company to remain strong as the once formidable company withers challenges it is currently facing.
The CEO in a heartfelt video released on Wednesday encouraged staff of Groupe Nduom to take inspiration from the book of Timothy in the bible.
Dr. Nduom wants his staff to draw strength from the quotation which reads, ‘for the spirit God gave us does not make us timid but gives us power, love and self-discipline’.
He noted, “The spirit that God gave us should not make us timid in this challenging time but it ought to give us power, power to take control over our emotions, over our attitude and our outlook as far as work is concerned, as far as life is concerned.
Dr. Nduom recounted how the company started as far back as 1997 and how the company grew to become a household name.
“What I need to say to you is that we may be down but not out, we may have been given a pause but we will sail through, it is important for us to use that timid to face these challenges. We will overcome it if we are all together,” he said in the video.
The Bank of Ghana last week revoked the licences of some twenty-three (23) insolvent savings and loans and finance house companies including GN Savings.
The action, according to the Central Bank, was taken “pursuant to Section 123 (1) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930), which requires the Bank of Ghana to revoke the licence of a Bank or Specialised Deposit-Taking Institution (SDI) where the Bank of Ghana determines that the institution is insolvent.”
