Former Gender, Children, and Social Protection Minister Nana Oye Bampoe Addo has filed her nomination to contest the Adentan seat in the upcoming NDC Primaries.
She has since promised to create job opportunities for the teeming youth and bring infrastructural development to the constituency, should she be given the nod.
The human rights lawyer said as a woman she understands the plight of constituents and will ensure that there’s development in the constituency.
Her priority will be instituting policies and projects that will empower women across the country.
Madam Addo also pledged to set up an Artisans Special Fund to provide consultancy and funds for the constituents who are mostly artisans.
This is the second time the former Minister of State is seeking to lead the NDC in that constituency.
Her first attempt in 2019 saw her losing to Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, who eventually reclaimed the seat for the NDC.
He defeated incumbent Yaw Buaben Asamoa in the 2020 elections.
