Ningo Prampram NDC primaries not postponed – Constituency Secretary
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries in the Ningo Prampram Constituency will be held on Saturday August 24, 2019 as scheduled contrary to reports that the election has been postponed.
Constituency Secretary, John Okoe Mensah in statement said news circulating within the area that the parliamentary primaries had been postponed is inaccurate.
Extracts of the statement copied to The Ghana Report read, “The Constituency Secretariat wish to put on record emphatically, that the information is a palpable falsehood and should be disregarded by all party members.”
Mr. Okoe Mensah further indicated the various branches that took part in the party’s presidential primaries early this year will take part in the Saturday’s NDC parliamentary primaries.
“We wish to once again assure all party members and delegates in the Ningo-Prampram constituency, that the party’s parliamentary primaries has not been postponed, but shall take place as scheduled at the Prampram Anglican School Park and as such all the Ninety-Two (92) branches that took part and voted in the presidential primaries are qualified and eligible to vote in the upcoming parliamentary primaries, come Saturday 24th August,” the statement.
