The key suspects involved in the murder of 21-year-old military officer Imoro Sherrif have been arrested.
After a week of a sustained intelligence-led operation, the police arrested the suspects at Taifa Ashaiman over the murder that occurred on March 4, 2023.
A statement from the police confirming the arrest said further information about the suspects will be made available.
The late Sheriff, a trumpeter with the Ghana Armed Forces Band stationed at Sunyani in the Bono Region was killed by a gang after he allegedly visited his girlfriend at Ashaiman.
He was stabbed several times by unknown attackers in the early hours of Saturday.
Although, he was carrying a laptop and other electronic gadgets the attackers reportedly made away with only his iPhone.
The murder prompted soldiers to invade Ashaiman on Tuesday brutalising residents in the hope of arresting the suspects.
The invasion by the soldiers has been largely condemned by the populace.
Following the developments, the military released the 184 suspects arrested during the swoop at Ashaiman.
The young officer has since been laid to rest.
