Suspend Campaign Activities In All Constituencies – NDC Directs MPs
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has directed its members of parliament to suspend campaign activities in all constituencies with immediate effect.
This is for the sitting MPs to channel their resources toward parliamentary duties.
The NDC added that no MP should undertake any travel affecting his or her attendance in parliament.
The directive follows a meeting held on Tuesday, March 7, by the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC).
A letter signed by NDC General Secretary Fifi Kwetey further explained that this is to get the numbers required to fight against the Electoral Commission’s proposed Constitutional Instrument (CI) for the 2024 elections. Thus, the party resolved that the period from the evening of March 7 to March 31, 2023, be declared “Operation Save Our Democracy”.
The release also asked constituency executives to adhere to the directive strictly.
“All regional and constituency executives and aspirants are directed to ensure strict compliance with the directives herein”.
Mr Kwetey also warned parliamentary aspirants to “in their own interest, strictly adhere to these directives as a breach of same shall attract severe sanctions”.
Below is the letter to that effect
Hahahaha
It is rather “OPERATION SAVE OUR DEFEAT”
