Ghanaian musician Kwame Nsiah-Apau known in entertainment circles as Okyeame Kwame says he is not worried about his name not being mentioned in the BBC’s Hiplife Rewind Documentary on Africa.
The artiste affectionately called ‘Rap Doctor’ said, the documentary which omitted his name can never affect his career since the story was told by people in a different country who might not know his contribution to Ghanaian music.
He advised Africans to learn how to tell their own stories from their own perspectives and appreciate their stars working hard to project the image of their various countries.
The award winning-artiste in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Hitz FM said “I don’t mind if my name was not mentioned in the Hiplife Rewind Documentary,” he noted.
He added, “My legacy is not attached to what BBC is doing but rather based on how I live my life today.
