Black Queens to depart Accra on Friday for Benin, Togo friendlies
The Black Queens are scheduled to depart from Accra on Friday to play against Benin on Sunday, February 19, and Togo on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
Ahead of these international friendlies, thirty-four players have assembled at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Joining the team on Monday were four foreign-based players, including Princella Adubea from FC Hiryat in Israel, Evelyn Badu from Avaldsnes FC in Norway, Captain Portia Boakye from Djurgardens IF in Sweden, and Azumah Bugre from IFK Norkoping in Sweden.
The other players were handpicked from the Twenty (20) Women’s Premier League clubs in Ghana.
To prepare for the matches, the team has already completed two intensive training sessions with all players taking part. The Black Queens are eager to showcase their skills and bring home a victory for Ghana.
After their match against Benin, the team will travel to Togo for their next match. Coach Nora Häuptle’s side is focused on preparing the team for the upcoming matches, and they are confident in their abilities to succeed.
