Stonebwoy Speaks On Gap Between Ghanaian and Nigerian Artistes
Reggae-dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has spoken on the gap between Nigerian and Ghanaian musicians, indicating much support and love for Nigerian musicians compared to Ghanaian artistes.
The award-winning musician said in Nigeria, the music industry is supported massively, and the large population in the country makes their songs travel faster compared to Ghana, which has a smaller population.
Moreover, the citizens in Nigeria, according to Stonebwoy, love their musicians so much that most of them listen to songs featuring their own talents.
The ‘Gidigba’ hitmaker further admonished his fellow musicians in Ghana not to give up on their careers as he hoped for a better future for the Ghana Music Industry.
Stonebwoy, on behalf of the other musicians in Ghana, appealed to music executives to find lucrative measures to revive the Ghana Music Industry.
“It’s just recently that some of our musicians had distribution deals with Sony and Universal Music. Our local musicians are really putting in their best, and I believe that with them, they’ll rock shoulders with their Nigerian colleagues in the music industry,” he said in an interview on the Breakfast Club Show in the US.
