Hurray! Christmas and New Year celebrations are here again, and you may probably not prefer staying home alone but hitting the town to enjoy yourself with friends.
Several entertainment shows are scheduled across the country that family and friends can attend to make merry.
Here are some shows that could make the festive season fun for you:
- Samini Xperience Music Concert
Xperience Music Concert by Ghanaian dancehall reggae artiste Samini will be coming live on Saturday, December 24 2022, at the Grand Arena.
This concept is the maiden edition undertaken by Samini. He has asked his music lovers to come and celebrate with him as he sings more of his songs on that day.
According to Samini, there would be other performances from Ghanaian artistes that the family would love to enjoy.
- All Black Party
Akwaaba UK, as part of its annual show to welcome Ghanaians and foreigners to Ghana for the festive season, will have a show dubbed “All White Party” coming on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
The will be an “All White Party” also by the same crew on January 1, 2023, for Ghanaians and foreigners who came for the Christmas and new year celebrations.
The show allows Ghanaians and foreigners to socialize and network, which goes a long way to benefit the participants.
- Freedom Wave Concert
Shatta Wale and Medikal have promised to rock the stage at the Accra Sports Stadium coming Sunday, December 25, 2022, at the Freedom Wave Concept.
The show, which is meant to appreciate Ghanaians promises to be fun.
According to Shatta Wale and Medikal, other artistes would join them on stage as they perform live to climax the year.
- Rapperholic
King of rap music, Sarkodie will be celebrating ten years of his ‘Rapperholic’ album by bringing fans together at his annual ‘Rapperholic’ show.
This programme will be live at Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre, on December 25, 2022.
The rap legend has claimed that this year’s show will be more entertaining compared to previous years as he will also be celebrating his 10th anniversary for the show.
- Made By Grace Concert (Waye Me Yie)
Ghanaian gospel musician Esther Piesie will shake the golden city of Kumasi on Sunday, December 25, at the Made By Grace Conference with the trending song ‘Waye me yie’ at Bantama.
The much-anticipated show will be graced by other gospel artistes like DSP Kofi Sarpong, Joyce Blessing, Brother Sammy, and more contemporary gospel musicians.
- Tema Street Praise
To gospel music lovers, another street gospel show you cannot afford to miss this festive season is the annual Tema Street Praise coming off Monday, December 26, 2022, at the Tema Community 2 Police Station.
Diana Hamilton, MOG, and other trending gospel artistes will minister at the event.
Various choirs will also minister, and participants have been promised an exciting event.
- Afrochella
The much-anticipated two-day Afrochella Music Festival aimed at rekindling African unity and celebrating African talents will take place at the EL-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra from Wednesday (December 28) through to Thursday (December 29).
Some performing artistes at this year’s Afrochella show are Stonebwoy, Burna Boy, Gyakie, Medikal, Ayra Starr, KiDi, Asake, and others.
- Ankos Festival
The Ankos festival is usually celebrated from 24–26 December of every year and is meant for tourists in Ghana who come for the Christmas and new year celebrations.
The festival, which is also known as the masquerade festival, provides a platform for foreigners and local natives to show their dancing skills in their masquerade outfits.
- Afro Nation
The global anticipating Afrobeats festival ‘Afro Nation’ is back again with more excitement and performances from Ghanaian and international artistes like Meek Mill, P-Square, Rema, Stonebwoy, Tiwa Savage, Camidoh, Black Sherif, Asake, Oxlade, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Ckay, Kamo Phela, Skepta, and Dadju.
This show is set to take place at Marine Drive, Black Star Square, Accra, on Thursday, December 29, 2022.
- Kabfam Legends Night
Thirty years ago was the last time anyone saw the Lumba Brothers made up of Highlife icons Nana Acheampong and Daddy Lumba, perform on one stage, and there is no doubt many would want to see that happen again.
The two have announced that on January 1, 2023, they will be thrilling their fans at the Kabfam Legends Night, which will take place at the Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
