Pressure group Occupy Ghana is calling for a thorough investigation into the apparent refusal of the state to comply with a bail order given by the High court in favor of Gregory Afoko.

It stressed that is was the fundamental right of every person to be considered and treated fairly until proven guilty. It argued that at no point must the criminal justice system be manipulated to punish any person who had not been found guilty.

The rights of every Ghanaian is supreme so under no circumstance should state officials infringe on those rights.

Meanwhile, President of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA), Anthony Forson, has added his voice to the many condemning the confinement of Gregory Afoko, after a court granted him bail in March.

Mr Forson is urging the legal team of Mr Afoko to pursue those who set aside the bail granted him by the High Court.
