Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is expected to release a provisional squad list on October 21 for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The preliminary squad list is anticipated to range between 35 and 55 players and will include four goalkeepers.
The final list of 26 players to is expected to be named on Monday, November 14.
Mr. Addo will lead Ghana to its fourth World Cup appearance, with Ghana’s maiden appearance in 2006.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group H with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
Ghana heads to Qatar as the least-ranked nation, as the Black Stars are ranked 61st in the FIFA World Rankings released earlier this month.
Addo orchestrated Ghana’s surprise qualification to the World Cup at the expense of Nigeria in the final eliminator in the African qualifiers.
The Black stars suffered a 0-3 loss to Brazil and a 1-0 win against Nicaragua in the preparation matches prior to the world cup.
