Authorities Investigating Nurses Who Filmed Dying Rico Swavey
The authorities in Lagos have said they are investigating the conduct of nurses at a private Nigerian hospital after videos emerged of them filming dying Big Brother Naija (BBN) reality TV star Rico Swavey.
In videos posted on social media, the nurses filmed Patrick Fakoya popularly known as Rico Swavey, as he lay unconscious on a chair where he had been propped up.
He was taken to the hospital after he was involved in a car accident.
In the video recording, one nurse is heard telling the others to stop the recording.
Gbenga Omotosho, Lagos state commissioner of information, has said that the hospital risked being shut down by the government after it concluded its investigation.
Colleagues who were housemates with him confirmed his death on various social media platforms.
It was reported earlier that the former BBN star was involved in an auto crash leading to a coma before his death on Thursday morning.
