Rapper Guru has announced dreams of entering into politics in the nearest future.
The Ghanaian rapper, born Maradona Yeboah Adjei, says he is in school to make this ambition a reality.
The Lapaz Toyota hitmaker has been off the musical front for a while but reveals he is preparing himself for a new phase of his life.
“I’ve gone back to school. You see, I must have the qualification, the certified CV, to stand anywhere or on any grounds to be that guy who is well-educated enough to represent the people.”
According to him, his current profession as a musician should not be a limitation to reaching higher grounds.
“To me, everything is possible. I think I can’t limit my dreams to just doing music alone. There is more to life than just music.” he noted
He emphasized the doability of pursuing a political career, saying, “It’s possible. So I would love to do that. There’s money in it. People are spending millions of dollars just to win a seat, and based on your popularity, it makes it easier. Having the proper qualifications will help you know this field that you can operate and assess and impact lives.
“For instance, if I become a president right now, I have no knowledge of administration. So how would I handle it?
So I’m learning the stats and then using them to deliver. Give them the best of me. So I will represent you someday.”
