TESCON members tasked to sell ideals of NPP
Members of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been tasked to ensure a united front and concentrate on selling the ideals of the Party to ensure it maintains power in 2024 election.
They should move from one place to another to propagate the good policies and programmes of the party in government.
Mr Castro Kwame Nkrumah, the Kwadaso Constituency Youth Organizer of the NPP, who made the call, said the party was counting on TESCON to retain political power and break the eight-year governance rule in the country.
“As TESCON members, we need to concentrate on selling the ideals and achievements of the NPP.
The Party is really counting on you to play active roles to help maintain power in 2024,” he said.
Mr Nkrumah was addressing members of the Christ Apostolic University College (CAUC) branch of TESCON at a general meeting and fresher’s orientation at Kwadaso, in Kumasi.
It was on the theme: “Role of TESCON in breaking the eight.”
He underlined the importance of the leadership of the NPP to adequately support and re-brand to make the TESCON attractive to motivate and position members well to undertake vigorous political campaign outreaches at the grassroots.
According to the Youth Organizer, NPP had the vision, capacity and good programmes to manage the economy to provide better standards of living for every Ghanaian, hence the need for members to work towards breaking the eight.
Mr Nkrumah said the Nana Akufo-Addo-led administration had a solid foundation to transform the economy of the country and was transforming the lives of Ghanaians.
He commended the TESCON branch for their commitment and loyalty to the NPP in the constituency and expressed the hope that they would persuade more students to join and support government policies and programmes to better the lives of the citizenry.
He presented certificates to outstanding and outgoing executives for the effective role played to help the NPP in the Kwadaso Constituency.
Mr Emmanuel Laar, the President of TESCON, Christ Apostolic University College, commended the Youth Organizer for honouring their invitation and pledged that the new executives would work hard to ensure the Party stayed in power in 2024.
